This is my third detailed dividend income report. I hope this report helps me to track my progress toward my short-term and long-term goals, and provides inspiration to new investors (you and me as well) to start dividend investing to reach their financial freedom.
I received $180.65 dividend income in August 2014 which is 26.04% higher than the dividend income I received in August 2013.
Summing up all the dividends I received throughout the year, I came up with $2258.34. One of my short-term goals is to receive $3500 dividend income during the year of 2014. So far, I achieved 64.52% of the goal. Hopefully, I will exceed this goal because there are some nice dividend increases ahead in my portfolio.

Projected passive income
My projected passive dividend income is currently at $3504 per year, increased by $11 from last month. There were no major purchases or changes in my dividend portfolios. I just reinvested a small portion my dividend to purchase a iShares diversified monthly income ETF(TSX:XTR ) in my registered account. Also, few stocks in my porfolio hiked their dividends since my last update. One of my long-term goals is to generate $25 000 per year passive income from dividends/distributions in 10 years. I achieved 14.01% of this goal.
Happy investing and let the money work us.
Thank you for being in my Finance Journey!!

Getting close to that $200 mark for an August dividend income is a great milestone. You’ll see how far you come next summer when you look back at 2014. You seem to be on track to meet your dividend goals for 2014. Do you plan any new purchases in the coming months? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you DivHut,
I love to see my progress by comparing previous year dividend income. I am planning to purchase some U.S dividend stocks in November & December in my registered accounts (RRSP). I hope the new purchases will bring up my yearly dividend income to $4000.
Cheer,

Over 26% increase year over year is nothing to sneeze at! Pretty awesome to see the snowball building up every month. Hopefully you can close out the year successfully and achieve your goals.

Thank you W2R,
The income is pure passive. Hope to repeat the similar increase the following years.
