Intro..
For those of you new to this website, in this post, I discuss the recent changes I made in my dividend portfolios, and sometimes I discuss my portfolio diversification strategies as well.
November was another great month for the investors as the stock market hit a new high.
However, it is not great news for those who are in the buying stage because we have to pay more money to buy the same number of stocks.
My portfolios hit new high almost every single day in November and enjoyed the paper-gain of the value of my assets, but I was having a hard time to deploy new capitals to market.
I had some money leftover from the sale of my BEI.UN. Also, I had some cash positions build up in my investment accounts.
Thus, I was looking for a place to put that money into work. I know that it was not the right time to deploy money into the market at this record high, but I just don’t want to interrupt the compounding growth in my portfolio.
Therefore, I decided to add a RIET called ‘Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: CHP.UN). It was on my watch list for a while. I just replaced with one REIT with another one, but with better Yield.
Also, I added some Telus (TSX: T) shares.
Portfolio Changes
Now, let us look at the purchases I made last month.
Canadian portfolio
In my Canadian portfolio, I added 200 CHP.UN units and 10 Telus (T) shares.
U.S portfolio
In my U.S dollar portfolo, I keep buying my favourite dividend growth ETF, DGRO. This position is getting bigger slowly but steadily.
International Portfolio
I just added 2 units of ZDH (Canadian hedged) international dividend ETF
I will continue to build my international portfolio using the international dividend ETFs (ZDH.TO & IDV) in order to diversify my investments.
Here are the changes I made in my dividend portfolios in November 2019:

Commission FREE ETF purchases
Are you wondering how I can execute small orders of ETSs? Thinking about commission fees?
Actually, I use Questrade for all my ETFs purchases. There are no commission fees for ETFs purchases at Questrade. Therefore, we could buy one or any number of ETFs without paying any commission fees.
This is a great way to deploy cash and invest for more cash-flow as soon as they come in.
For those looking to start investing with little money, Questrade is one of the good options to consider because of their commission-free ETF program and minimum requirements to open an account.
If you have a plan to open an account with Questrade, please accept my gift and take advantage of this $50 trade commission rebate.
There is a trading charge of $4.95 when you sell ETFs. All the details are at the time of writing. If you have a plan to open an account at Questrade, please check all the information (including current commission fees) on their website and see if it is suitable online brokerage for your needs.
