Last month, I received over $480 dividends from 22 different companies.
I own a couple of tiny slice of high-quality blue-chip companies, and they work hard, make money and share their profit with me in the form of a dividend.
I take the money and buy more shares of the companies. Thus, I receive more money next quarter.
In addition, those companies improve their earning and send more money by increasing their dividend payment. Therefore, I receive even more money.
Occasionally, I add new funds to accelerate the process.
I have been doing this for almost 5 years now, and my annual dividend income has increased from zero to over $11K as of this writing.
When I continue this process for another couple of year, I could easily replace my day-job salary with investment income. This is that I have been aiming for.
I hope that I will get there in the next 4 to 5 years.
Meantime, I will need to work for someone for money to meet my needs.
Moreover, I will need to make a small sacrifice and delay gratification to focus on my bigger goal of financial independence.
On this website, I have been documenting my financial independence journey and posting all my financial details for entertainment and information purpose only. In addition, I love to motivate people to start thinking about their dreams and life goals.
As always, I strongly encourage readers to consult a qualified financial adviser, consider potential tax implications and to do their own proper due diligence before taking any information from this website.
