Another month has passed by and it is time to update my dividend income report for August 2018.
Last month I received over $460 pure passive income from 33 different income sources.
I usually receive slightly lower payments in February, May, August and November, and I receive higher payment in March, June, September and December.
Therefore, the amount I received last month was not very impressive, but it is growing well year- over- the year with dividend growths and dividend reinvestment.
Hopefully, I will be receiving higher payment for the next August.
For me, $400 is a decent income. I could use the cash to pay a couple of utilities and telecom bills or spend on the thing like clothes or go for a short vacation.
But, I wanted to let the money grow so I reinvested it to buy more income producing asset (dividend stocks).
Usually, I reinvest all the money I receive in my brokerage accounts to purchase more stocks. Also, over 90% of stocks in my portfolio hike dividend at least once a year, and some hike few times a year.
As a result, my estimated yearly dividend income is recently experiencing exponential growth without any new capitals.
For the last 8 months alone, my estimated yearly dividend has increased from $8414 to $9528. It is $1114 increased with the average growth of $139.24 per month. And, I received over $5750 dividends year-to-date.
I am pretty sure it will grow even faster than this in the coming years. At one point in the future, it will overtake my day job salary and give me an option to do whatever I love to do in my life.
I really hope that the September dividend income will be higher than ever as I started to receive a cash dividend from my top holdings. And, December income will be even higher.
I hope you enjoy the post.

Nice job! We share 10 out of the 12 USA stocks that paid you this month! If you don’t already, you should start documenting your dividend increases. I just started a few months ago and the data is fantastic and super fulfilling! Keep up the great work!

Hello Dividend Pig,
Thank you for stopping by,
I am so glad that we have some similar holdings 🙂
I always think about documenting the dividend increases, but I am a little lazy to track and write about them.
Maybe I will start doing from the beginning of 2019. Thank you for your suggestions 🙂
Cheers,
