Last month, I received over $750 dividends from 20 different income sources.
This dividend income is over 84% higher than the income I received during this period last year. The growth looks slightly higher due to the contributions from my recent purchases in my Canadian portfolio.
I usually receive lower income in February, May, August and November, and much higher income for the rest of the months.
However, I have never attempted to smooth these income fluctuations. I calculate my income yearly and divide it by twelve to see my average monthly income.
In this case, my estimated average monthly dividend income will be around $1455. It is a pure passive income, and I don’t need to do anything to receive this monthly income.
I build my portfolio with high-quality companies that pay a sustainable income. Therefore, the money will be deposited into my brokerage accounts regardless of what is going on in the market.
Occasionally, I see some dividend reductions in my portfolio; however, most of the stocks in my portfolio increase their distribution at least once a year. Thus, the impact from the dividend reductions will be partially or fully offset by the dividend hikes.
Besides, I have been continued reinvesting my dividend. Therefore, my dividend income streams continue to improve over time.
At one point in the future, I can comfortably live off with the income I receive from my portfolio.
It is my financial goal, and I hope that I am moving in the right direction to reach the goal.
Let’s discuss how much dividend I received in February 2021.
I received $759.99 dividend in February 2021, which is 84.75% higher than the dividend I received in February 2020.
