This is my second detailed dividend income report. I hope this report helps me to track my progress toward my short-term and long-term goals, and provides inspiration to new investors (you and me as well) to start dividend investing to reach their financial freedom.
I received $294.37 dividend income in July 2014 which is 12.18% higher than the dividend income I received in July 2013.
Summing up all the dividends I received throughout the year, I came up with $2077.69. One of my short-term goals is to receive $3500 dividend income during the year of 2014. So far, I achieved 59.36% of the goal. Hopefully, I will exceed this goal because there are some nice dividend increases ahead in my portfolio. Recently, two stocks in my porfolio (SAP and CPX) increased their dividends.

Hi FJ,
Almost $300 for the month is pretty awesome. As you say… let the money work for us. Keep up the good work and look forward to your next progress. I am also considering adding Canadian banks to my portfolio. I’d like to start with 2 or 3 of the 5 major banks as I’m low on banking exposure in my portfolio only owning WFC. I see you own all 5 banks.

Hi DivHut,
Thank you for stopping by..
Canadian stocks especially banks stocks are doing really well. I would suggest you to add some positions in TD and Bank of Nova Scotia, both are very strong banks in Canada.
